Be Prepared for Accidents

If you think your wedding day is going to be perfect, know that there will always be something that doesn’t go as expected. The same is the case with wedding photoshoots. Your makeup artist or the hairstylist may get late, or you may get into a bridal dress accident (tears or staining), or your groom may not make it in time. It’s best if you keep yourself prepared for the accidents so that you don’t freak out when they actually happen. It’ll help you maintain your composure during the wedding photoshoot. 

Make a Mood Board

Everyone has a vision of how they want their wedding pictures to be. You certainly wouldn’t want to receive pictures from your photographer after the event that are nothing like you had imagined. To save yourself disappointment, make a mood board. Save some pictures that you would want the photographer to use as reference and understand how you want your pictures to be. 

Build Time Buffers

Never set tight timelines for your wedding day because there will always be delays. If you keep 2 hours for your wedding photoshoot, and your stylist gets late, or the groom doesn’t arrive on time or the photographer gets caught in something, you won’t have enough time to get your photoshoot done properly. Keep time buffers of at least a few hours so that any delays don’t affect your plans. 

Don’t Leave Your Hair Loose

If you leave your hair lose, your face will be covered in most of the candid pictures in which you aren’t looking at the camera. For this reason, you should pull your hair back to the sides so that your hair doesn’t cover your face.

Pick a Large Room for the Photoshoot

As a part of wedding photoshoot preparation, pick a large room to get the photoshoot done. It’ll allow the photographer to take pictures from different angles and use long angles to get more flattering shots.
